About me
In 2005 I started to develop a serious interest in photography... since then things have only gotten more serious.
I frequently wander around Dublin with my camera "Dixie" attached to my eye (yes, I have given her a name... I love her so much ). Learning to look at everyone and everything, analysing light and examining photographic qualities of a scene, its an amazing transformation in terms of perception.
Also, I find myself dreaming up photography experiments and projects for myself. I've joined Celbridge Camera Club where I've learned from some fantastic photographers and great people... and I get to talk about photography with other sufferers.
For me its an adventure exploring both new and familiar places and trying catch the "magic", meeting people and finding their "uniqueness"... I've missed the target a lot but, I've learned tenacity and I love the process.
I still make a lot of mistakes (Grrr!)... and I still haven't settled on a specific genre or style, but for now I have little interest in limiting myself in that way. I've learned so much in the last year or so and I've been completely enjoying myself, at the same time increasing my awareness of how much I still have to learn, but I feel this journey is worth the time.
For me it is a joy to capture an image the way I saw it in my mind, I feel I've done that a with one or two of my images, and I plan to do it more consistently.
